New Commission Structure At IWOOT

We would like to be serious now, for a change, and talk business for a minute. We’ve been thinking long and hard over the past few weeks, or months really, about IWOOT’s affiliate programme and how we can tweak it to make it better. Read on to see what we’ve come up with!

The past year has been undoubtedly a great success and we can only be grateful to the hard work put by all affiliates and Affiliate Window as well. People say “If it isn't broken, don’t fix it”, but you know we like to push things and experiment here at IWOOT and so far I am happy to say that we’ve managed to avoid bankruptcy.

And so as of 1st of April 2008 we’ve decided to get rid of all revenue-based commission levels and introduce a flat 13% rate to everybody. It’s one that creates a level playing field for all, from the smallest to the largest super-duper affiliate. And the reasons for this change? For one, a flat rate makes it much easier for us to forecast and calculate things. This would make us smarter at allocating resources and ultimately at enhancing our brand. Another point is that a 13% rate would benefit the hundreds of affiliates that are currently around the 10-12% mark and hopefully lure new ones to join as well.

Rest assured that this decision didn’t come to light on a late night in the pub, but was a result of a careful analysis of the gifts and gadgets affiliate industry. We’ve looked at 18 of our competitors and found that a 13% flat rate would make our programme better paying than nearly all others. This, together with some of the best conversion and EPC figures, hopefully makes IWOOT’s affiliate programme as good or better than before. Not to mention the affiliate holiday that we’ve planned for next year!
