April Fools At IWOOT

Yes I realize this is a little late and really we're not trying to fool anybody here, however I thought seeing as Julian has been posting a string of deep and meaningful blog posts recently that actually shows he does some work, I'd lighten the mood a bit with some of the silly products we came up with for April Fools day.

How big is your carbon footprint? Size 6? Size 11? Or are you a small industrial nation in your own living room? We're all waking up to the idea that we need to do our bit, but spending hours on our computers tapping away is not just burning the midnight oil, but also a lot of the real stuff. Well now we can all ease our respective consciences thanks to the kinetic brilliance of the Dynamo Keyboard. No longer will you be sapping the national grid of power and burning down small woods in Hampshire every time you write an email or post a blog. Simply by typing using the Kinetic Keyboard, you can power your computer using your fingers' energy. So even if you're accused of having a huge carbon footprint, you can proudly claim to have a very small carbon fingerprint. Cut down on your electricity bills and feel justifiably chuffed that you're doing your bit.

Never be late for work again! The brand new Mobile Razor Attachment is major breakthrough in communication cleanliness.

For years we've been frustrated by the impossibility of shaving whilst on the phone. This may seem unlikely, but in an age where communication is power, very few people are able to be separated from their mobile for more than a few seconds at a time. Because of this phenomenon, far too many people were growing beards (which is simply not acceptable), or letting their leg and armpit hair get frighteningly long - purely because they couldn't shave and talk at the same time. Unsightly hirsuteness is now a thing of the past thanks to the astonishing Multi-Blade Polo Frail Mobile Shaver Attachment.

Stepping back for a moment and losing one's innate cool about all things gadgety and technical, isn't the internet incredible? Not only can we contact people in Fiji within seconds (you know, sometimes you just HAVE to) by email and send them pics you've just taken on your smart phone, but you can also speak over the internet, send videos of what you're doing, even send over a tender embrace (well, an electronic nudge anyway).
